Love and Blues

Love and Blues is a 3D abstract motion piece that depicts the emotional unraveling of a breakup through the transformation of water into ice. As the relationship cools, fluid forms begin to harden and eventually break apart, reflecting how fading love becomes fragile and irreversible.

Key Insight
Through this project, I explored how to express complex emotions using abstract visual elements rather than characters or dialogue. By carefully shifting colors and textures, I learned to build a quiet emotional narrative that reflects the subtle progression of a breakup.

Process
To communicate the stages of the breakup, I focused on the texture of the water sphere. Subtle shifts, moving from smooth liquidity to frosted density and then to fractured ice, visually represent emotional change. Each texture marks a turning point in the relationship and reinforces the core narrative through material behavior.
